Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturday/Sunday/Stat Holidays; work hours generally between 10am – 9pm

Wage: $18/hr

End Date: September 3, 2023

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Downtown Kelowna Association is looking for an enthusiastic team member for Summer 2023. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, outdoor event assistance including set-up/take-down, membership engagement, data collection and entry, conducting surveys, office duties, deliveries, and other general tasks. The ability to work collaboratively and creatively with limited supervision, independently, and within a team is vital. This is a physically demanding position at times which requires extensive walking, standing and comfortably lifting 50lbs repeatedly. This is a placement through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
• Excellent customer service with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Solid work ethic, reliable and able to work effectively in a self-motivated environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs; walking, bending and lifting will also be required.
• As this is a Canada Summer Job program, Participants must meet the following criteria;
• You are between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
• You are a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• You are legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
