Show N Shine on Bernard 2023 Application Form

The event has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 23 and we are once again accepting a limited number of applications. 

Please note that space is limited, and while we appreciate all applications, we may not be able to accommodate everyone. Your understanding is appreciated. 

If you would like to join us, please submit this application by Friday, September 8, 2023 at 1pm (PDT). 

  • Should your application be accepted, a non-refundable registration fee of $25 + GST (per vehicle) will apply.
  • Space is limited and not all applications will be accepted. 
  • Applicants may submit up to four (4) vehicles. 
  • Your space is not secured at Show N Shine until final registration is received and your fees are paid.


Registration fees are due upon receipt of acceptance into the event. Failure to pay fees will result in forfeiture of your participation.

SHOW N SHINE ON BERNARD 2023 TERMS & CONDITIONS 

The applicant hereby acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

  1. All applications are subject to review by the DKA. The DKA reserves the right to refuse any event application or registration. This includes, but is not limited to, application or registration by:
    1. political or religious groups;
    2. businesses or organizations promoting the use of or selling drugs or alcohol, including cannabis;
    3. special interest groups;
    4. groups who are deemed to be affiliated with hateful or discriminatory behavior.        
  2. A limited number of exhibitor spaces are available. Not all applications will be accepted due to limited space.
  3. Vehicle owners may submit up to four (4) entries to Show N Shine on Bernard; each vehicle must be registered separately.
  4. Shade, seating, or tables are not provided. Free-standing umbrellas are permitted for shade.
  5. The DKA will provide the participant with a location within the event area and the said location shall be at the sole discretion of the DKA.
  6. The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) Show N Shine is a family-friendly and inclusive environment. The applicant agrees to conduct themselves in a manner that is professional, courteous, and in keeping with a family-oriented and inclusive environment. This includes, but is not limited to:
    1. abstaining from the use of drugs and/or alcohol, including tobacco and/or cannabis during the event period on the event site;
    2. refraining from the use of coarse language;
    3. refraining from the use of hate speech.
  7. Animation and/or music played from exhibitor spaces will be restricted and must be approved by the DKA.
  8. The participant will be assigned a specific time to arrive for load-in and set up, beginning at 8:30AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
  9. Entry to the event site will not be permitted after 10:30AM.
  10. Access points into the event site will be identified in the Show N Shine on Bernard Event Site Access Map and will be distributed in advance of the event.
  11. The participant shall complete set up by 10:45AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
  12. The participant vehicle/s shall remain from 11:00AM to 4:00PM on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
  13. The participant and their vehicle/s shall not pack up prior to 4:00PM on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Tear-down may commence at 4:01PM. Load-out will begin as soon as possible after the conclusion of the event.
  14. DKA will not be responsible for loss or damage to any property. Accordingly, each participant shall take all necessary precautions to protect their valuables.
  15. FEES: Fees are payable online only; the DKA does not except cash or cheques. Fees are due upon receipt of acceptance into the event. Final deadline for payment is September 8, 2023. Failure to pay fees by the deadline may result in the forfeiture of your space. Registration fees are non-refundable.
  16. This is a rain or shine event. Refunds due to inclement weather will not be issued.
  17. LIABILITY WAIVER: The participant hereby assumes all responsibility for all known or unknown damages, injuries, losses, judgements and/or claims whatsoever that may occur to any entrant, and his or her property while participating in the Downtown Kelowna Association Show N Shine on Bernard 2023 and does release from liability the organizers and sponsors.
