Sun City Physiotherapy is locally owned and operated. We opened our first clinic in Downtown Kelowna in 2000 and have since become the fastest-growing private physiotherapy practice in the Okanagan. In 2002, we opened our second clinic in Glenmore, followed by Lake Country in 2008, and in 2018 we opened our newest clinic in Kelowna’s Lower Mission.
Our multidisciplinary team of university-trained Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, and Kinesiologists recognize the importance of client individuality and personalized care. Physiotherapists use a manual therapy ‘hands-on” approach for assessment and treatment. This is combined with advanced techniques individualized for each patient. We believe in the importance of evidence-based practice and the need for tailored exercise prescriptions.
Each clinic provides a broad scope of services including management of orthopedic and sports injuries, manual and manipulative therapy, intramuscular stimulation (IMS), acupuncture, TMJ and orofacial pain disorders, concussion management, shockwave therapy, vertigo and dizziness, women’s health, pediatrics, and therapy for neurologic conditions. Our Registered Massage Therapists, at all four locations, provide therapeutic and sports massage.
As part of our community involvement, we provide on-site event coverage annually (physiotherapy, massage, and medical support) for multiple events and team sports. We contribute to the community on an educational and instructional level, providing numerous health education talks and in-services to businesses, sports groups, and organizations. Sun City Physiotherapy regularly contributes articles to a local newspaper, publishes online, and offers free lectures on topics related to health, treatment, and injury prevention.
