Arts on the Avenue is back for its 10th anniversary season—and it’s bigger, bolder, and more interactive than ever. Taking over downtown Kelowna on Tuesday, July 15 and Thursday, July 31, this two-night celebration transforms Bernard Avenue into a vibrant, walkable gallery with a market, interactive workshops, and live performances.
One of the main attractions this year is Palette Pandemonium, a thrilling live painting competition that puts local artists head-to-head in a creative showdown. It’s just one of many immersive experiences that invite audiences to engage directly with the arts.
Visitors can also explore hands-on activities like printmaking, calligraphy, origami, improv theatre, and hoop dancing—each led by local artists and cultural groups. Expect spontaneous encounters with roaming characters from Whalemade Productions and live musical performances.
Arts on the Avenue has earned its reputation as one of Kelowna’s most artist-focused events. Originally launched in 2015 it helped shaped the festival scene of downtown and remains a key event for celebrating local talent.
Presented by Festivals Kelowna and supported by a diverse lineup of partners—including Livessence Society, Le Centre Culturel Francophone de l’Okanagan, Opus Art Supplies, and the Okanagan Regional Library—the event is proudly free and open to the whole community.
