THANK YOU FOR JOINING US | JULY 25 – AUGUST 3, 2026

WHAT IF DOWNTOWN KELOWNA BECAME YOUR ART GALLERY?

This summer, art is popping up in unexpected places throughout Downtown Kelowna.

During Downtown Discovery Week: Building Community Through Art, local artists are taking over Downtown businesses, turning shops, restaurants, cafés, and community spaces into stops on a self-guided art experience.

Follow the route, step inside participating businesses, discover work from local artists, and learn more about the people and stories behind the art.

There’s no set starting point and no right way to explore. Visit one stop or make your way through the entire route. Grab a coffee, stop for lunch, discover a new business, and experience Downtown Kelowna through the work of our local creative community.

At each participating location, scan the QR code to learn more about the featured artist, their work, and where you can find them next.

The experience is free, self-guided, and available during participating businesses’ regular hours from July 25 to August 3.

COMMUNITY ART WALL

📍 Find the Community Art Wall in the 300 block on Bernard Avenue.

What does community look like?

Throughout Downtown Discovery Week, we invite you to help answer that question by adding your own creativity to our Community Art Wall.

Whether you draw, doodle, write a message, or simply leave a colourful mark, every contribution becomes part of a collective artwork created by our community.

Unlike a traditional mural, this isn’t meant to stay the same. The Community Art Wall is designed to evolve throughout the week as more people participate. As the wall fills up, our team will periodically clear sections to make room for new artwork, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to leave their mark.

Think of it like sidewalk chalk – a temporary expression that exists to be enjoyed in the moment before inspiring the next person to create.

While individual drawings may not remain for the entire event, each one becomes part of the story and spirit of Downtown Discovery Week. Stop by, pick up a marker, and help us show what community looks like—one drawing at a time.
